1 out of 5 stars Looks Good, but Simply doesn't work   January 5, 2009

Got this for Christmas and tried it out. Followed directions perfectally and about 20% (if that) of the popcorn actually popped. The rest went all over the kitchen. Bad design of the popping chamber, a hinged metal flab would improve the design and functionality greatly. DO NOT BUY!!!!

1 out of 5 stars Big Disappointment   December 30, 2008

This popcorn maker is horrible!!! We followed the directions, but hot unpopped popcorn kernels were flying around the kitchen. My daughter was so disappointed and her poor grandmother who had bought it felt terrible. I can't understand how this product can remain on the market. Has anyone been able to get in touch with the manufacturer?

1 out of 5 stars Save your money. Use your microwave.   December 29, 2008

Unit overheated and turned off before popping a single kernel. Tried it again once the motor had cooled down...same result. It was a Christmas present and the manufacturer suggested we ship it back to the gift giver so they can exchange it and send a 2nd unit to us. I don't like the idea of shipping a product 3 times across the country hoping the 2nd unit works. Bad product. Terrible customer service.

1 out of 5 stars Worst Popper I've EVER Used   December 29, 2008

I had similar experiences that everyone else had. Popcorn flew all over the kitchen, and only got about 20% popping efficiency out of the recommended seed count. It is absolutely hillarious how bad of a product this is. If you saw how bad this thing is in action, you would really question the credibility of any reviewer over 1 star. SIMPLY AWFUL.

1 out of 5 stars Dangerous!!   December 28, 2008

If I could give this product a zero I would. I purchased 2 to give as gifts and one for my family. It shot hot, unpopped kernels out of the top, even though the cap was on, the force of it knocked the cap off and most of the kernels never hit the oversized bowl I placed underneath. I had hot kernels all over the kitchen. The force with which the hot kernels flew out was dangerous as my excited children waited for their popcorn. They had to run away from the machine. More than 3/4 of the kernels were left unpopped. The others which were given as gifts, the motors broke on the first try. It looks nice, but that is about it. I am returning all three.
